Following the Aims and Scopes of the center, the five-year program of Center of Excellence for Risk Management and Natural Hazards includes:

A) Active participation in expanding the frontiers of knowledge, fundamentals and practical issues in the field of risk management of natural hazards and raising scientific position of Iran in the world;

B) Increasing knowledge in recognizing the types of natural hazards and their impacts on health of human beingsand providing solutions to control and reduce them;

C) Increasing level of between-university and international activities to increase group activities instead in the field of risk management and natural disasters;

D) Provide necessary knowledge to assess risks of natural disasters and provide principled and scientific solutions to reduce financial and human losses;

E) Efforts to cultivate efficient scientific forces in the field of research and implementation of study projects related to the management of natural hazards and disasters;

F) Introducing the scientific hub for risk and natural hazards management as a valid and first-rate scientific reference in Iran for researchers, students and employers;

G) Providing appropriate solutions in order to localize the knowledge produced in the scientific hub of risk management and natural hazards;

H) Strengthening scientific and international relationships, science development and expanding the frontiers of knowledge and publishing scientific articles, participating in joint projects and planning advanced research in cooperation with scientific centers abroad.
